In recognition of the sacrifices made by Veterans and their ongoing challenges, Twin Valley has partnered with CoBank, one of the leading providers of credit to the United States rural economy, to introduce an empowering initiative—the No Barriers Program. This program aims to support Veterans with disabilities by providing them the opportunity to overcome barriers, tackle challenges, and build a network of support. Participants are not only offered experiences to help navigate the obstacles of everyday life, but the program is entirely funded by CoBank, ensuring that Veterans can participate without any financial burden. The No Barriers Program offers Veterans with disabilities a life-changing opportunity to challenge themselves and develop skills that can be applied to their everyday lives. By engaging in demanding outdoor activities, participants gain valuable insights into perseverance, resilience and teamwork. These experiences serve as a catalyst for personal growth, empowering Veterans to break through the barriers they encounter and lead fulfilling lives. Whether it’s conquering the rapids during a rafting expedition, scaling rocky cliffs while climbing, or pushing their limits with invigorating hikes, participants emerge from the program equipped with the tools to overcome various physical and mental obstacles.
Our team at Twin Valley has partnered with CoBank, one of the largest private providers of credit to the U.S. rural economy, to make the No Barriers Program a reality. CoBank’s generous support enables Veterans to participate in the program at no cost, and their continued commitment has helped foster a strong network of support within the community. By teaming up with Twin Valley, CoBank has been able to extend its reach to Veterans residing in our service area, including Junction City.
To be considered for the No Barriers Program, Veterans must be nominated by Twin Valley or another CoBank partner. Once nominated, CoBank selects up to 50 Veterans to participate in one of four multi-day expeditions. Applications are considered on a first-come, first-served basis, so it’s important to apply early if you wish to secure a spot in the program. Interested Veterans or those who know potential candidates can complete the form on our website to apply online, and all qualified applicants will receive additional instructions upon submission. This year’s deadline to apply is August 1, 2023.

The No Barriers Program goes beyond outdoor adventures; it creates a community of support and empowerment. By engaging in challenging activities alongside fellow Veterans, participants forge strong bonds and develop a network of individuals who understand their experiences. The program serves as a platform for Veterans to share stories, learn from one another, and build lasting friendships. Additionally, the skills and mindset acquired during the program translate to everyday life, enabling participants to approach challenges with newfound confidence and resilience.
