Fourteen-year-old Weston Burford, an 8th  grader at Clearwater Middle School, won this year’s directory cover photo contest. After visiting his grandparents at their rural Viola home, he walked outside to leave as this storm was rolling in. Weston enjoys taking pictures, so he wanted to capture the shot. He says, “I like taking a picture from ordinary to extraordinary by finding the right angles and focus.” He adds that his favorite photos to take are those of nature. Weston  hopes to keep taking pictures and finding more great shots like this one!

Receiving second place in the SKT 2020-21 Clearwater/Viola Telephone Directory Cover Photo Contest was Alaina Bates of rural Conway Springs with her photo of a bald eagle overlooking the Ninnescah River.

Amy Greene of rural Clearwater won third place with her snapshot of Chisholm Trail riders  coming through  downtown Clearwater.
