After completing an underground fiber installation project, Clearwater residents now benefit from more reliable Internet and phone services as well as Internet speeds up to 1 Gbps. Along with other recent changes to SKT services, burying the fiber reduces the need for above-ground cables. To help create a more beautiful community, the unnecessary above-ground cables will be removed over the coming weeks. Here’s what you can expect:

WHO
SKT is partnering with Phillips Southern Electric Co., Inc. (PSE). Their uniforms and trucks will be marked with the PSE logo. In addition, you will see an SKT contractor sign on their trucks.

WHAT
If you live in Clearwater, PSE technicians will be in and around your yard to remove unnecessary aerial cables. This will not result in any interruption in services. Technicians should not need to enter your home or business. Should they need to speak with you, they will knock on your front door. If you’re not home, they will leave a door hanger with additional information.

WHEN
Work will begin on April 29 and be completed during regular business hours 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. We anticipate this project to be complete by mid-May, weather permitting.
