Howard Fall Festival Draws a Crowd to Downtown
October 23, 2019

SKT joined the Twin Valley family in 2021, and now we've made it officially official! Not to worry. This is simply a fresh new look and name change to help us operate more efficiently as one team. Otherwise, it's business as usual!

Diana Weidman, SKT Customer Service Representative, and Lonnie Stieben, SKT Community Economic Development Manager, left early Saturday morning, October 12, 2019, headed from Clearwater to Howard to participate in the Howard Fall Homecoming Festival Parade. The parade began at 10:30 a.m. and Diana commented, “This was my first time to throw candy at a parade. There were lots of people lining the street and it was fun to see so many turn out for the parade. Howard is a beautiful little town!” SKT was proud to be one of the festival sponsors, as well.
The festivities actually began on Thursday with a bonfire night, continued on Friday with West Elk Homecoming activities, and then on Saturday kicked off with a biscuit and gravy breakfast benefit, followed by a full day of fun, including a chili cook-off, ice cream tasting, pet show, corn hole tournament, car show, barbecue, and street dance. The weather was great, the festival was a rousing success, and plans are already being made for next year. Congratulations to all the volunteers on a job well done!
